Inner Light, Insight from Infrared

Welcome to the Optical Molecular Imaging Laboratory dedicated to the research and development of optical molecular imaging, especially bioluminescence- and fluorescence-based tomography.

Optical molecular imaging is a rapid growing research field by using optical contrast agents which bound to specific proteins or genes. It provide us to Image the optical molecular markers (e.g., gene expressions, proteins) and biological processes (e.g., interactions, pathway signaling) in an unperturbed environments and provide unprecedented opportunities and rich information leading to earlier or predictive diagnosis, novel drug targets and design, and individualized yet adaptive therapies, which constitute the cornerstone of molecular medicine.

We are particularly interesting two research fields in optical molecular imaging: fluorescence tomography and bioluminescence tomography.
